How do I read the measurements on your edge fluting router bits? Which number indicates the width of the groove and which indicates depth?
For example:
WL-1475 3/8″ Radius, 3/4″ Cut Length, 1-1/2″ Dia
3/4" Cut Length tells you the width of the groove. You control the depth of the groove, but the max depth would be 1.5"-.75(bearing size) divided by 2 =.375"
862.032.11 1/8″ Radius, 1/4″ Cut Length, 3/4″ Dia
1/4″ Cut Length tells you the width of the groove. You control the depth of the groove, but the max depth would be .75"-.5(bearing size) divided by 2 =.125"
