Use this bit to edge join materials with a maximum gluing surface for tabletops or large panels. The slight taper aids in aligning the boards by drawing the surfaces together to produce perfectly aligned faces on jointed surfaces. When clamping, apply enough pressure to seal the joint, but too much pressure may distort the wood. This bit is featured on our DVD9. Carbide tipped.

I used the reversible glue joint router bit to build several deep drawers almost 12” deep. All the stock wood available in my area was 5” to 6.5” wide. I had no choice but to join these narrow pieces of stock together to make wider planks. The reversible glue joint bit came in handy for this and worked as expected. It did take a few tries to adjust correctly but once that was done the rest was a breeze. Its important to have scrap pieces of wood available to practice on prior to making your final cuts in your finished wood. Works fantastic. See attached photos. 1st photo shows deep drawers with wide planks joined together. You can tell the joint location because poplar wood had different shades but joint itself is flawless. 2nd pic shows a wide ash wood plank (32”) with dark stain where joint is completely invisible.
